Dr. Rajalakshmi Rahul is a gold medalist in Computer Science Engineering and has a doctoral degree in the specialization of Technology Management from, Anna University, Guindy. While in conversation with the CEO, an award winning entrepreneur for running India’s first ever 100% Women based research consultancy, operating under the concept of Virtual Office, she adds that, “I was an IT professional who encountered a career break post marriage. It made me think and do something useful to the society. I started Talaash Research Consultants, an educational consultancy since academics was something that interested me right from my childhood. My personal experience without a job, made me design my organization in such a way that it gives opportunities for highly talented and competent women, who have the desire to work but not the opportunity to work due to their personal commitments. As a result, I made Talaash, a fully virtual organization giving opportunities to women to work for my firm irrespective of their geographic locations. To everyone’s surprise, till date I have not met, many of my staffs who have been working with me for almost a decade, in- person, Yes, you heard it right!!!.”

Dr. Rajalakshmi has won the Homepreneur of the year 2018, award under the Education and Literature Category of Tamilnadu, from Brand Avatar, a social event management organization. She has also received the ‘Consultant of the Year 2019’ award from BusinessConnect Magazine, New Delhi for her noteworthy contributions in the education sector.

While talking about her organization she says that, “In India, there is a huge gap between Master’s level education and Doctoral level education in terms of the expectations of the universities from the researchers. In addition to that, the Quality of research in India is far away from what it is at the Universities in the West. Talaash Research Consultants bridges this gap by educating researchers towards conducting a systematic and high quality research at international standards in their academic careers.
